This nock from Beiter is asymmetrical and specially designed for the larger diameter aluminum shafts, but over time it has also become increasingly popular when using carbon shafts.

An asymmetrical nock is a nock that is not equal at the top and bottom. These nocks are mainly used by Recurve and Barebow shooters, because they do not pull the string symmetrically. With an asymmetrical nock you ensure that the arrow leaves the string on the right side and this improves the arrow flight.
