Traditional Bows
Within the traditional division of archery there are by far the most variations in bow types. Both in shape and material there are multiple types. There is a fitting model for every person who wishes to shoot with a traditional bow.
Recurve Field Bows
There are two classifications within the class of Recurve Field Bows. You either have a one-piece bow, or a take-down bow. Take-down bows consist of seperate handle and limbs.
Most of the time, bows are made out of natural materials with a layer of fiber glass on either sides. Some limbs have layers of carbon added for more speed and stability. One-piece recurve bows are also available in different lengths and draw weights.
For take-down bows there are even more choices to make. Handles are available in different materials like wood, metal or even carbon, and the limbs are available in different lengths, materials and draw weights. This does mean that every archer can pcik a bow they like and that fits them.
Longbows
The Longbow is perhaps one of the most commonly known bow types. Longbows are typically made of natural materials. They are available in different lengths and draw weights and there is a lot of variation in added materials and wood types.
Horsebows
A horsebow is an, often short, bow that you can shoot from the back of a horse, as the name already implies. Obviously you do not need to be on a horse to shoot this bow, you can shoot it from the ground perfectly fine. Like all other categories, there are different shapes and sizes to this type of bow.
